About me

I'm Mai Le—a writer, entrepreneur, and former investment banker based in London. I write about the things that matter most: personal growth, career navigation, relationships, and the messy, beautiful journey of figuring out who you want to become.

My Story

I moved from Vietnam to the UK at sixteen, trading the familiar for the unknown. That decision—made with the boldness only youth can muster—set the course for everything that followed. I studied Economics at the London School of Economics, where I discovered my obsession with understanding how people make decisions, build careers, and create meaning.
After graduating, I spent time in investment banking, including an internship at Goldman Sachs. Those years taught me about ambition, discipline, and the price of success. But they also taught me that the path forward isn't always linear—and that's okay.
In 2013, while still a student at LSE, I had my first brush with entrepreneurship: an idea for a social network that would connect people based on shared physical attributes and fashion sensibilities. It didn't work out, but that failure became one of my most valuable teachers. I learned that not every idea needs to succeed to be worthwhile, and that the stories we don't tell—our failures, our missteps—often teach us the most.

My Approach

I don't claim to have all the answers. In fact, I'm still figuring most of it out myself. But I believe in the power of honest reflection, of sharing the stories we're often too proud or too ashamed to tell. I write because I'm curious, because I'm learning, and because I believe that when we share our experiences—especially the difficult ones—we help others feel less alone.

My writing is personal, sometimes philosophical, always honest. I'm not here to give you a ten-step plan to success. I'm here to share what I've learned, what I'm still learning, and to invite you into the conversation.
